Chris and Scott first met on an ECB level 2 coaching course in 2022 (which they both passed I hasten to add) and shared their love and passion for cricket.
Over the next couple of years both developed their skills and approach towards coaching, with both coaching and leading age group cricket at their respective clubs Ockbrook and Borrowash CC of the Derbyshire County Premier League and Butterley United in the Derbyshire County Cricket League
Both have now assisted directly in the development of over 20 players both boys and girls who have now had the exceptional experience to become either MCC or County Pathway players.
Both our daughters also play together for Derbyshire girls U13’s.
Chris is a multi age group Derbyshire CCC pathway coach supporting and developing the Derbyshire boys and is looking to further his coaching role supporting the EPP with specialised wicketkeeper coaching.
Chris won the James Rimmington trophy in 2024 for his contribution to founding and developing girls junior cricket in particular at Ockbrook & Borrowash CC.
Scott was named the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation coach of the year for the 2024 season and has been recognised nationally by the ECB for his coaching contributions both at his club, Butterley CC and at Duffield CC which has one of the most successful female junior sections in Derbyshire.
Both have achieved remarkable coaching success in their coaching careers todate and look forward to working with and supporting the development of many more children and adults in the future.
Chris, Scott and the team of coaches aim to bring a high level of coaching to your club, school or coaching group, we will travel to you, work with your coaches to provide a fun, positive , inclusive session for all of those involved.
This could be a “special” training session, or it could be a change to a regular training session to enhance the session. It might be you have numerous players getting ready for county trials and you would like support on how to ensure they are ready.
It is our aim to develop, challenge and build your players skill set whilst supporting your coaches with drills and training that will leave your players eager to come to their next training session and your coaches enthused about coaching.
All coaches are qualified to a minimum of ECB Level 2 and DBS Checked either through the Derbyshire County Cricket Club Pathway or an associated Cricket Club.
We coach children of all ages from under 11's to under 111’s.
Anyone that wants to learn and have fun playing cricket, girls and boys, men and women. We are here to support you all.
Absolutely this is our preferred way to coach, from small “Net” groups where we can work on individual players needs in an enhancement group to larger groups of 30+ we can accommodate sessions to support your training and developmental needs.
We can arrange sessions across the East Midlands but we love to come to your school or club to help support you and your team/community.
